Art from the Archives: paint workshop
Due to the winter storm affecting the National Capital Region, the “Art from the Archives: paint workshop” scheduled for Wednesday, February 13, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., has been postponed to Tuesday, February 18, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Please note the change in date and time.
Join us for the new series of Art from the Archives workshops! Designed to stimulate your creativity, this series invites you to discover the hidden works of art in the Library and Archives Canada collections. Each workshop begins with a short presentation of works and archives, followed by a creative activity facilitated by a local artist. All equipment is provided. Beginners are welcome!
This month
In February, Library and Archives Canada highlights Black History Month and takes you back to the late 19th century. Step by step, recreate a portrait from the collection, using acrylic paint.
