Conversations between the German National Library and Library and Archives Canada

Web archives as a first draft of the present

In October 2020, the German National Library and Library and Archives Canada began a four-part series of conversations exploring the effects of digitization on their national documentary heritage institutions and their current priorities.

Please join us for this third discussion, on web harvesting and preservation.

Moderated by Francesco Manganiello (Director, Stakeholder Relations and International Affairs, Library and Archives Canada), the conversation will explore approaches to archiving the web and the ongoing challenges of adapting to technological changes in how content is consumed on the Internet.

Guest speakers:

Dr. Britta Woldering, Web Archiving Expert, German National Library
Roslynn Ross, Director, Digital Preservation and Migration, Library and Archives Canada

Tuesday, October 5, 2021
