Funding and reporting timelines
Library and Archives Canada’s funding schedule follows the federal government’s fiscal year, which begins on April 1st and ends on March 31st the following year.
Small projects
- 100% of funding will be received when the funding agreement is signed.
- Projects to be completed within a 12-month time frame.
- You'll need to submit a final report within 30 days after the end date of your project.
Large projects
- Organizations get 85% of funding at the start of the project.
- For the remaining 15% of funding, you'll need to submit an interim report.
- Projects to be completed within a 12-month time frame.
- You'll need to submit a final report within 30 days after the end date of your project.
The number of projects funded depends on the funding available. We may revise your project budget after reviewing the projected expenses.
If you have in-kind contributions or other funding, put these in your Project Budget Form. In-kind contributions are goods or services donated to help your project. Be careful if you're already receiving other government funding. The total of this funding plus other sources of funding for this project cannot exceed 100% of the costs of your project.
