Reference archivists can assist in person, by phone, or by videoconference. They can help you with every step of your research journey. These include:
- developing a research strategy
- using our research tools (physical and digital)
- finding information and forms on our website
- helping you access archival materials, including Access to Information and Privacy (ATIP) requests

Ask about our presentations and workshops
We offer presentations and workshops for groups on a broad range of topics, such as :
- Introduction to archival research at LAC
- Introduction to the records of the Department of Indian Affairs (RG10)
- Interactive research workshop (on a specific topic)
- Information session on Access to Information and Privacy (ATIP) requests
Schedule a guided tour
We give guided tours for groups visiting LAC in Ottawa. These tours include information about our services and our various consultation rooms.
