Notice - LAC profile registration

Library and Archives Canada (LAC) requires the collection, use and disclosure of your personal information to create a LAC profile, which will allow your subsequent participation in LAC events. By doing so, LAC will also be able (if required) to contact you as authorized by program-specific legislation.

LAC will collect, use, disclose and protect your personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act for the purposes associated with the management of LAC events and will only use it in conjunction with that purpose. In some cases, information may be disclosed without your consent, pursuant to Subsection 8(2) of the Privacy Act.

Should you decide not to provide your personal information, LAC cannot offer you the service you request.

The personal information collected under this initiative is referenced in Personal Information Bank LAC PPU 200.

You have the right to access personal information that we hold about you and to request correction of any erroneous details.
