New ATIP progress report for LAC – June 2024
Library and Archives Canada (LAC) has published its latest progress report highlighting its efforts on access to information and privacy (ATIP).
This fourth update outlines the important progress it has made since the release of its ATIP action plan in August 2022. This ambitious plan was launched after an investigation by the Information Commissioner of Canada into the federal institution’s difficulties in meeting the timelines set out in the Access to Information Act.
Having implemented a range of measures to improve the effectiveness of its teams, LAC’s ATIP Branch can now share many positive results.
Please read LAC’s action plan and progress report, as well as the 2022–2023 annual ATIP reports, for more information.
