Progress on ATIP: LAC releases action plan update

For several months, Library and Archives Canada (LAC) has been working to address major challenges in access to information and privacy (ATIP).

The federal institution is releasing the first update to its ATIP Action Plan. The action plan, which was published in August 2022, followed an inquiry by the Information Commissioner of Canada into LAC’s difficulties in meeting the timelines set out in the Access to Information Act.
