Our services to the public in Ottawa will remain open throughout the fall

From October 13 to November 25, the Public Order Emergency Commission’s public hearings will be held on the first (main) floor of 395 Wellington Street in Ottawa.

Library and Archives Canada’s (LAC) services to the public on the second and third floors of the building will continue during this period unless otherwise indicated.

Tips for planning your visit to our Ottawa service point during this time:

Before you visit

  • Check the “News” section of our website or our social media (Twitter) for updates on access to our services.

When you arrive

  • Allow extra time to access the LAC locations.
    • There may be increased traffic at the entrance and on the first floor of the building.
    • Security screening will be conducted for everyone entering the building, and more security officers will be on site.
  • Use the front door on your left, which will be the entry point for the public.
  • Follow the signage; security lines and signs will guide you inside the building.
