LAC to launch a new, user-centric website
Library and Archives Canada (LAC) is excited to announce that its brand new website is nearly ready to launch. The new website will be simple, intuitive and more accessible, and it will replace the existing LAC website (bac-lac.gc.ca).
In building the new website, LAC focused on the following:

Findability: consistent and intuitive design

Navigation: based on themes, topics and tasks

Themes: collection, services and corporate

Plain language: easy to understand
The new website is based on the latest research on user experience, and on feedback and suggestions from the public, researchers and staff.
This is just the beginning of what will be a process of continuous improvement. LAC will analyze how people use the new website and adapt accordingly. Each page will have a feedback section to help guide future improvements to the site.
