His Majesty Charles III, King of Canada
Canada, like the United Kingdom and more than a dozen other Commonwealth realms, has a new king with a familiar face. Since his childhood, King Charles III has built a strong relationship with Canada and Canadians.
This exhibition marks the Coronation of King Charles III by exploring how the King of Canada has engaged with the challenges and opportunities facing this country. The exhibition features 70 items, including never-before-exhibited historical images and five original items from the Library and Archives Canada collections and from the King’s private collection, illustrating His Majesty’s interests in inspiring and empowering youth, preserving the environment, and advancing reconciliation between the Crown and Indigenous Peoples.
This exhibition was developed in partnership between Library and Archives Canada and the High Commission of Canada in the United Kingdom.
